Yes, some cameras are better than others. Or have a feature more, or less. But cinematography is about the person operating the camera and not about the camera itself. Call him or her a Director of Photography, a shooter, a cameraman (or woman). They make the pictures. I know great DOP’s that can make a VHS camera look superb. And I’ve also met people who can’t make an Arri even look like the camera on my computer. Credit, where credit is due. To the great people I’ve worked with who always deliver spectacular results.
